KIDKA ReCover
ReCover is an innovative recycled knit- and wovenwear collection by KIDKA
Produced in collaboration with IINOUIIO and Camira Fabrics in UK.
The first ReCover Collection comes in four colors, created from sorted wool cut-offs:
Sand – made from beige and brown tones.
Blue – made from different shades of blue.
Light Gray – made from, white and gray tones.
Dark gray – made from charcoal, black and dark gray
These colors were chosen because we have a lot of these wool scraps and because they are inspired by the Icelandic landscape.
Since the spinning process can change slightly, each batch will have small variations, making every ReCover collection one of a kind.
Instead of knitting ourselves with the recycled yarn we wanted to explore new technologies and partnered with weaving designer Alice Timmis from IINOUIIO and developed three weaving patterns.
